CRITT CARDS (RPG Prototype)
A downloadable game
This RPG Prototype is a simple game about collecting creatures and using them to fight in card battles. Sounds simple enough right? It's very barebones at the moment but I am releasing test builds so people can try it and tell me what they think.
Features:
- Creatures.
- Cards have abilities which can be activated by using resources.
- Cards may use various different resources.
- Catch new cards and level them up by fighting.
- Dealing damage in empty lanes increases your score, get a score of 10 to win!
- Right now there is only a prototype rogue-lite mode. But in the future, I'd like this game to have an RPG aspect as well.
Small tutorial: creatures can be placed on the board in exchange for T. You gain 1T every turn but you get more by dealing damage in empty lanes. Faster cards move first, abilities are below stats and they can be activated with left click, you can learn what they do by right clicking them.
Around the middle part of the game, the creatures I've made start getting replaced by some creatures my friend made. I gave them names and stats.
The artstyle and general feel of the game is still in development, I would greatly appreciate any and all sorts of criticism.
There is currently no way to save, you can exit the game by pressing ESC. There's no proper tutorial either...
Main inspirations are PvZ heroes, Inscryption and Pokémon.

There are bugs in V2 that I will not fix (since I'm remaking the game from scratch):
- Identical cards can't be put in the same deck, that means creatures that are exactly the same won't be able to be in the same deck (it's fine if they are a different level though).
- If you retreat or discard a card with an activated ability, you will not get a refund for that ability.
- If you click on the retreat or discard button, clicking on the other button will not cancel the previous action, meaning that sometimes you might get confused and retreat a card you meant to discard or viceversa.
